When one wants to live in the land of
smiles (read Thailand) then one of the popular ways is to go and teach English
language there. One can legally live in that country and stay there for a long
term by becoming an English teacher. In fact, there are many people who can apply
for teaching positions in places like Chiang Mai, Bangkok, and other places.
When one thinks about this, the first thing
that comes to mind is how to become EFL
teacher in Thailand. In order to do that, one has to finish their
degree first. One should at least have a bachelor degree (it can be in any
subject) so that one can think of becoming an English teacher there. Also, one
does not have to be a teacher by profession already to apply there. They can be
an artist, an engineer or anything who can later shift and become a teacher
later.

This is the primary thing to do to become
an English teacher in any abroad country. Full form of TEFL is ‘Teaching
English as a Foreign Language’ and this course is the primary thing to get
after getting the bachelor degree. There are short term TEFL courses available in every country and one can
complete them anywhere they want it from. It can be from UK or USA or from
Thailand itself. If one is determined to teach English in Thailand only, then
it is always a good idea to complete the course there because by doing that,
one can get more accustomed to the culture of the country. Not only have that,
one can also got to know about the teaching details, method of teaching and
education system in Thailand as well. So, one need to find out a good
institution there from where they can pursue their TEFL course.
Finding out the best schools for TEFL can
be easy because one can go for online research there. In most cases, these
courses last only for a month and they mainly focus on the grammar inputs and
practices of English grammar. In fact, the first week of course also deals with
the fact that how one should tackle the discipline issues in a Thai class room.
Also one becomes culturally aware if they do the course there. One can also go
for an online TESOL certificate
which can also be very helpful when it comes to finding English teaching jobs
abroad.
TEFL courses not only make one learn
theoretically but it deals with practical classes as well. One has to go for
teacher training classes in schools and colleges as well when they are doing

how to write a CV and then how to apply for a teaching job there.
In
Thailand some schools may look for native teachers but if one is from a
different country and have a good knowledge in English then they can easily get
a chance to teach there. In Thailand one cannot get a non immigrant visa or a
work permit till they get a job. But once one gets a job, the school itself
helps in where to apply and what documents are needed for the work permit.
It
is always a better idea to stay in Thailand and then start applying for the
jobs because one has to be in the country to go for interviews. So, when the
recruiters ask for the interview one has to be there immediately. One can also
take help of some agencies when they are thinking of taking a teaching job in Thailand. The agencies can always help in finding jobs from the citi4s and
towns that are there in the country.

school to school with their CV and then apply there directly. It might happen
that one can secure a position of an English teacher right away. but having
proper degrees and certificates are a must because without them it will not be
